INFLATABLE PACKERS

SON – MAK brand packers are manufactured as standard with 6 different outer diameter varying from 44 mm to 94 mm. Optionally, special production can be made. The Packers used according to their injection hole diameter. In the graphics you can see the highest pressure values given with outer diameter values for the inflatable packers.

HOW TO USE PACKERS

Packer inflatable hose is installed on the inflatable inlet and when the packers are landed on the drilling hole on the tube, they can be bind tightly with the help of air or liquid inside the hole. The injection can be done by central stainless steel tube. This tire disconnets the line, where the injection is done, and the other line. In this way, the injection process is carried out only in that line. After the injection process is carried out, the pressure is ejected and the packer is either taken out or it is again put into different depth. In the Packers, the inflatable air or liquid pressure in the tyre must be higher than injection pressure. The Packers are landed in the deep well by connecting the injection tubes and the packers can easily installed on the injection tier.There are single and double packers types. The single packers are often used for bottom – up injection process.

Wireline Packer

Wireline Packer System is a time- saving method for carrying out permeability testing while the core drilling is done. The Test is done by using the drill string in place and thereby reducing the time that is needed to be tested in open or unstable formations. Wireline Packers, which consist of N,H and P measures, could be easily and shortly repaired in the field. The wireline packers incorporate a bumper that rests inside the throat of the drill bit. This also protects both packer and drill bit. A compression cap situated on the Wireline Packer protects the pressure around the composite cable. The function of the composite cable,which is made of durable product against to excessive pressure,is that it inflates and lowers, retrieves the wireline packer.

Carrying out the permeability Test;

· Take out the inner tube assembly.

· Increase drill string off bottom by putting it on the intended test zone.

· Build the seal tee assembly ay top of drill string.

· Decrease wireline packer assembly and get the compression tightened.

· Connect composite cable to center of compressed fluid.

· Inflate wireline packer.

· Inject water by means of seal tee assembly wireline rods and place packers into the intended test

. You can carry out the permeability test

· Having carried out the Test, wireline head and wireline packer are removed.

· Leave the innertube assembly into the well.

· You can continue to drill after lowering the drill string .

INFLATABLE PACKERS FOR WIRELINE CORE BARRELS

This system is an easy way of positioning to inflatable packer below the wire-line core bit in hole for conducting permeability testing. This packer assembly incorporates a positioning ring which rests on the drilling bit inner shoulder. This simple and economical device saves time for the rig operator and is available for all makes of core barrels.
